As a part of an investigation to spice up agricultural yields and develop crops which can be resilient to local weather change, Berkeley Lab scientists have launched RhizoNet, a computational instrument that harnesses the ability of AI to remodel how we examine plant roots and root habits beneath varied environmental situations. A paper describing their revolutionary deep-learning strategy, mixed with a singular hydroponic machine that facilitates in-situ plant imaging, was printed June 5 in Scientific Stories.
