
In an official notification, the provincial authorities introduced that each one authorities and autonomous our bodies will stay closed from Could 26 to Could 29.
Muslims in Pakistan would observe Eid ul Adha on Could 27, the moon sighting Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee introduced on Could 17 after the crescent for the month of Zilhaj was sighted.
The announcement was made after a gathering of the committee held on the Pakistan Meteorological Division (PMD) in Karachi.
Following the affirmation, the federal authorities introduced Could 26-28 as Eid ul Adha holidays.
“The prime minister has been happy to declare Could 26, 27 and 28, 2026 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) as public holidays on the event of [Eid ul Adha],” learn a notification issued by the Cupboard Division on Could 20.
Eid ul Adha, often known as the “Feast of Sacrifice,” commemorates the Qur’anic story of Prophet Ibrahim’s (PBUH) willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah, a check of religion that was divinely interrupted and changed with a ram.
Moreover, the event is well known with prayers, household gatherings, and charitable acts, together with the ritual sacrifice of livestock, with the meat distributed to kin, buddies, and the underprivileged.
