A single atom layer of gold: Researchers create goldene

For the primary time, scientists have managed to create sheets of gold solely a single atom layer thick. The fabric has been termed goldene. In response to researchers, this has given the gold new properties that may make it appropriate to be used in functions corresponding to carbon dioxide conversion, hydrogen manufacturing, and manufacturing of value-added chemical compounds.
