Researchers have developed a compact and light-weight single-photon airborne lidar system that may purchase high-resolution 3D photographs with a low-power laser. This advance might make single-photon lidar sensible for air and house functions reminiscent of environmental monitoring, 3D terrain mapping and object identification.
