Election integrity watch: Pulaski County version

AT SANDERS RALLY: From left, Thurlo Cobb, Michael Massuco, Doyle Webb and Ken Yang.

A Republican alerted me to this photograph on the Fb web page of Thurlo Cobb, who was readily available for an RSVP-required marketing campaign rally Tuesday in Jacksonville for  Republican gubernatorial candidate Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Cobb (far left) is a Republican supporter. With him are, from left, Michael Massucco, Doyle Webb and Ken Yang. Yang is chair of the Saline County Republican Committee. Webb is a former state Republican chairman. Massucco is likely one of the two Republicans on the three-member Pulaski County Election Fee.

Massucco is of curiosity due to this Arkansas statute associated to election commissions.

It says partly:

The {qualifications} of a member of the county board of election commissioners as decided by the Common Meeting are as follows:

1) Should be a certified elector of this state;
2) Should have the ability to learn and write the English language;
3) Should be a resident of the county through which she or he serves on the time of his or her appointment or election;
4) Should not have been discovered responsible or pled responsible or nolo contendere to the violation of any election legislation of this state;
5) Should not be a paid worker of any political get together;
6) Should not be a paid worker of any particular person operating for any workplace on the county’s poll;
7) Should not take part within the marketing campaign of any candidate listed on a poll or of a write-in candidate searching for election in that county that falls below their jurisdiction or authority;
8) Should not handle a marketing campaign;
9) Should not carry out labor for a marketing campaign;
10) Should not solicit on behalf of a candidate or marketing campaign;
11) Should not move out handbills, indicators, or different literature regarding a candidate’s marketing campaign;
12) Should not help a candidate’s marketing campaign at a rally or parade;

Is it “collaborating” or “aiding” in a marketing campaign to attend a candidate’s rally?

I don’t know. I do know {that a} Republican who alerted me to the photograph thought it noteworthy.

I despatched Massucco emails inquiring about his attendance. He didn’t reply.

There could also be an allowance for the attendance of election commissioners at basic get together conferences or debates. This, nevertheless, was purely a Sanders marketing campaign occasion, with a restricted viewers pre-screened by her marketing campaign.
