Sooner-developing, wetter hurricanes to come back

In a brand new research, PNNL researchers discover that the U.S. Atlantic Coast is turning into a breeding floor for quickly intensifying hurricanes. Fueled by environmental circumstances that beget more and more extreme storms–with local weather change as a root contributor–the new analysis finds that hurricanes are rising wetter and strengthening sooner close to the already hurricane-battered shoreline.
