On August 15, the federal government elevated the petrol worth by Rs6.72 per litre, whereas slashed diesel worth by Rs0.51.

The value of petrol was mounted at Rs233.91 per litre, diesel at Rs244.44 per litre, kerosene oil is being bought for Rs199.40 per litre, and the value of sunshine diesel oil is Rs191.75 per litre.

The finance division in its assertion mentioned that within the wake of fluctuations in petroleum costs within the worldwide market and change charge variations, the federal government had determined to revise the prevailing costs of petroleum merchandise to cross on the influence to the shoppers.

However, Pakistan had assured the Worldwide Financial Fund (IMF) to step by step improve the levy on petroleum merchandise as much as Rs50 per litre. A letter of intent had been agreed upon between Pakistan and the IMF.
