The RMT says that railway employees who put on stickers supporting a marketing campaign to cease the closure of just about 1,000 ticket places of work are being threatened with disciplinary motion.

The union has warned that it’s going to escalate its industrial response to any menace to dock pay or self-discipline workers for campaigning to avoid wasting their jobs.

Writing to coach operator LNER, RMT basic secretary Mick Lynch wrote: “I’ve obtained very disturbing studies this morning from members at your organization who’re being threatened by managers with disciplinary motion and being despatched house with out pay on account of them carrying “save our ticket places of work” stickers.
