Nestling birds acknowledge their native music ‘dialect’

A current research has proven that juvenile songbirds react to listening to the songs they’ll ultimately produce as adults, even when they’re as younger as 12 days previous. Experiments carried out on nestling pied flycatchers throughout Europe exhibit that they preferentially reply to songs from their very own species and, remarkably, their very own inhabitants.
