Pakistan urges UNSC to rethink Palestine’s UN membership

Pakistan has urged the UN Safety Council to rethink and suggest Palestine’s utility for a full membership of the United Nations according to the overwhelming world opinion.

The decision was made by the Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Munir Akram whereas participating within the basic debate within the UN Normal Meeting assembly on using veto on the admission of latest members.

Munir Akram mentioned that diplomatic efforts being made for peace would get appreciable momentum if the veto was lifted and Palestine’s admission to the UN was permitted by the Safety Council.

He mentioned such a step would rectify the historic injustice in opposition to the Palestinian individuals and pave the way in which for the institution of the Two-State answer.

Referring to the Israeli Prime Minister’s current statements, Ambassador Munir Akram warned of the intense penalties in case Israel went forward with its plan to assault Rafah.

He mentioned the impunity granted to the apartheid Israeli regime has allowed it to flout UNSC decision on ceasefire and ignore the provisional measures prescribed by the Worldwide Courtroom of Justice.

Ambassador Akram requested the United Nations and the worldwide group at giant to implement an instantaneous ceasefire in Gaza; assure unrestricted entry to humanitarian support; stop additional escalation of the battle; present worldwide safety for the Palestinians; revive the peace course of and maintain Israel liable for its battle crimes and crimes in opposition to humanity.
