PNS HAIBAT to additional indigenous design capabilities: CNS

KARACHI: Commissioning Ceremony of Pakistan Navy’s indigenously designed and constructed Quick Assault Craft Missile PNS HAIBAT and induction ceremony of third 16 Ton Bollard Pull Tug PNT GOGA was held at Karachi on Thursday.

In accordance with Inter Companies Public relations (ISPR), Chief of the Naval Workers (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi graced the event as Chief Visitor.

PNS HAIBAT is the primary land mark mission indigenously designed by Maritime Applied sciences Advanced and constructed by Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works with none overseas technical help.

Talking on the event, the Chief Visitor underlined that commissioning of PNS HAIBAT ushers a brand new chapter within the indigenous design and development that has been additional matured with time.

The Chief of Naval Workers emphasised that in context of total safety paradigm of the area, PNS HAIBAT will strengthen Pakistan Navy’s capabilities to reply maritime challenges to make sure seaward defence and preserve peace and stability in Indian Ocean Area.

Chief of the Naval Workers counseled the concerted efforts put in by KSEW, MTC and Pakistan Navy for the land mark achievement.

Earlier Managing Director KS&EW, Rear Admiral Athar Saleem underscored that Missile Craft PNS HAIBAT being a multi mission succesful platform will bolster Pakistan Navy’s maritime defence capabilities.

He added that induction of PNT GOGA can be a milestone which can strengthen the indigenous ship development capabilities.

The ceremony was attended by overseas dignitaries, officers from federal and provincial governments Pakistan Navy and Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW).
