Senate Bill 43, which targets drag performers and transgender individuals, received an OK from Gov. Sarah Sanders Wednesday.
Sanders mentioned that as governor, she is targeted on defending Arkansas’s kids — which in her phrases, is what SB43 would do. If the invoice makes it to her desk as it’s presently written, Sanders mentioned that she would signal it.
“I feel we’ve got to do every thing — I’ve been very clear and talked about this beautiful extensively — to guard kids,” Sanders mentioned. “And I feel that’s what this invoice does, and so can be supportive of it in its present kind. We’ll proceed to take steps and do issues that I imagine defend the kids of Arkansas.”
The Arkansas Senate passed the bill Tuesday afternoon, with solely Democrats voicing opposition.
