Submissions for AMFA’s ‘Delta Triennial’ open in January

The Arkansas Museum of Effective Arts will quickly begin accepting submissions for its inaugural “Delta Triennial,” a juried exhibition open to artists all through the Mid-South area.

Although the exhibition debuts in 2024, “Delta” programming has been a long-standing annual custom at AMFA, with its first exhibition debuting in 1958. Whereas the museum was in limbo throughout renovation, the exhibition pivoted to “Delta Voices: Artists of the Mid-South,” a sequence executed in collaboration with different regional establishments.

The submission interval for “Delta Triennial” is Jan. 1 by means of Feb. 11, and artists born or dwelling in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas are eligible. This yr’s jurors are Amy Kligman, the chief director of Charlotte Avenue Basis in Kansas Metropolis; Alexis McGrigg, a former “Delta Voices” collaborating artist from Mississippi; and Takako Tanabe, the founding director of Ulterior Gallery in New York Metropolis.

Artists shall be notified of the outcomes on March 29 and the exhibition shall be on show at AMFA within the Harriet and Warren Stephens Galleries from June 28 by means of Aug. 25.
