The streets of SoMa are getting a facelift this weekend

If you happen to haven’t already observed, the 1200 block of Fundamental Avenue in Little Rock is closed to site visitors till 7 a.m. on Monday. The explanation? Not one however two items of public artwork are going up within the SoMa neighborhood this weekend: a groovy asphalt mural cowling your complete intersection of South Fundamental and thirteenth streets — designed by Little Rock artist Kait Culbertson — and a Pride-themed crosswalk on the intersection of South Fundamental and twelfth streets. 

To encourage foot site visitors in the course of the closure, the Downtown Little Rock Partnership is internet hosting reside musical performances from Jett Jano, Shannon Boshears, Rock Metropolis Jukebox, Butterfly from New Orleans, Stephan James and Charlie Askew on Saturday; and DJ AJ and P RVNGER on Sunday. Each units of performances begin at 1 p.m.
