Russellville’s Previous South Restaurant finds new location

Old South Restaurant, the historic Russellville eatery that was destroyed by a fire in June of this 12 months, introduced on Saturday that it has discovered a brand new location within the the previous Dixie Cafe constructing at 105 East Harrell Dr. in Russellville.

The unique constructing that housed Old South Restaurant was built by Nationwide Glass and Manufacturing Firm of Fort Smith in 1947. The modular-style constructing was designed in a streamlined Artwork Moderne model of structure. It was listed on the Nationwide Listing of Historic Locations in 1999.

The restaurant is understood for having served “two presidents and a king” as a result of Presidents Jimmy Carter and Invoice Clinton and King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis Presley reportedly dined there.
